Cyborg Mommy
cyberfeminist ruminations by half mother half machine

I have just been to a meeting and now I am trying to fill a few minutes before I have to go to another meeting. There is a beautiful tall pine grove that I walk through to get to other parts of the campus. On entering, I immediately settle into a more peaceful and reflective state. It makes me smile. At 4:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays, I hike through the tall pines one last time to get to my car. I immediately start thinking of picking up the small person that lives with me. I imagine the bright smile that floods her face when she sees me across the classroom and what her amazing twisted sense of humor will bring out on the ride home... I am so in love.

She had a high fever last night - out of the blue. Its scary to see a little person become Lobster Red with fever at 4 am. My husband has just told me that she is starting to heat up again. I can't wait to get home...
