New Math

For those of you who are not Mothers (or Fathers), I would like to introduce a new equation that I have learned:

1 + 1 = None

How does it work? Let�s put the equation in context. It�s a snow day, the schools are closed, and a 4.25 year old child is pestering you about one thing and another. It�s looking like another day without getting anything done. Then you remember the New Math:

You take one bored child 3.5 years or older, add another of roughly the same age and Presto, they disappear - into their toys, into their room, into the snow. All of a sudden there are a million things for them to do and none of it involves you - except the snacks. You must provide frequent infusions of snacks, drinks, and food.
