I am writing this on the train from Providence, Rhode Island heading back to New Haven. Its a beautiful stretch of track that hugs the coast with views of beaches, coves, and historic fishing towns like Stonington and Mystic, Connecticut. Theres a lot more countryside up here than you would think.

My computer science colleagues and I drove to Providence last night. I taught a PDF workshop this morning and now I have a few moments of quiet to ruminate, recuperate and rejuvenate. I love traveling by train.

I started missing the little cyborg as soon as I was awake enough to think this morning. I can’t wait to get back to my little family.
