Another (Wonderful) Way to Archive Your Blog

Requirements:
Acrobat 5 or 6 Professional, just about any flavor Windows and Mac OS9, Mac OSX will work on most blogs, but seems to have trouble with some addresses (like Blogspot!) NOTE: This method requires the full version of Acrobat – not the free Reader.

Acrobat 5:
Go to File > Open Web Page and paste in the URL. Select the number of levels or to retrieve the entire site. This will create a fully interactive PDF that will retain all links from the original HTML.

Acrobat 6 Professional:
Go to File > Create PDF > From Web Page and paste in the URL. Select the number of levels or to retrieve the entire site. This will create a fully interactive PDF that will retain all links from the original HTML. I have heard that it will also capture and embed animations and Flash, but I haven’t tried it myself – yet.

I try to do this once a week. I do this in order to back-up my site against the inevitable glithches of the world wide web. If you have questions – email me.
