Fried Day
Friday, February 06, 2004
Well, it's Friday, or as we call it in our house - Fried Day. What a week. Sick kid. Sick Daddy. And today is another snow day with all the schools closed. The snow is falling with no sign of stopping. I might think it beautiful if we hadn't had so much already. I'll have to do all the shoveling today with CyborgDaddy in bed with a stomach virus. Later this morning I'll pull the kid on a sled over to a friend's house to play. Hopefully, I'll get a little work done.
I feel like I am running in place. Every time I look at my blog and think about posting, I am overwhelmed and postpone it for another day... not Blogger's Block exactly, but some kind of blog malaise. Or maybe Blog Ennui? There is plenty enough going on for me to document it here - I just can't get myself to do it lately.
I finally got the mold of the 9 month pregnant belly sent off to the fabricator who will do a casting this weekend and ship it back to me next week. I will then chrome it, drill some holes, and add straps so that I can use it as a costume for my upcoming performances. It was quite a packing problem - one that I solved by taking it to Mailboxes Etc and having them do a professional job of it. You should have seen their faces when I walked in with this large plaster belly and breasts. My object has now scored the position of strangest packing job at my local MBE.
The postcards for the March 3rd Cyborg Mommy performance arrived on Tuesday and as always Modern did a gorgeous job. If you want one, send me an email with your address (if I don't have it) and I'll send you one. Well, I better get to my To-Do list and the piles of flakes... I can feel that Blog Ennui lifting a little already...
